Social Robots for Disabilities

Robots can be successfully used to develop skills and competences in people with disabilities. They can be considered as active toys that can react and stimulate activities. We are focusing on play, as a context to operate to engage and make people involved. We have been working in this field since 2001, and have developed many robots, from the simplest ones based on the typical Arduino-based makers approach to those including AI to interpret images, touch, and other demanding sensors.
