PhD Student —
Riccardo Santambrogio is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Politecnico di Milano. A member of the AIRLab, he is conducting his research under the supervision of Prof. Matteo Matteucci at the Smart Eyewear Lab (SEL), in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica. He obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
His research focuses on Deep Learning and Computer Vision for understanding humans and their interactions with the environment in real-world contexts, with particular focus on egocentric vision in wearable devices.
From October 2023 to April 2024, Riccardo was a Visiting Associate Research Fellow at the University of Tokyo, where he worked with Prof. Yusuke Sugano on the topic of appearance-based gaze estimation.
