Researcher —
Lorenzo Cazzella is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics lab (AIRLab) of Politecnico di Milano. He received a PhD (2025) in Information Technology and a M.Sc. (2020) in Computer Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. His research work concerns the study and development of artificial intelligence and signal processing techniques leveraging prior knowledge on the natural structure of real-world systems and signals in complex environments. His research interests include geometric and topological deep learning, physics-based machine learning, uncertainty modeling, and unsupervised learning techniques. Starting from his M.Sc. thesis, he has applied his research to the physical layer of wireless communications, radar systems, and multi-modal sensing, focusing on channel estimation, integrated sensing and communication, radar imaging, and the construction of accurate digital twins of urban radio propagation environments.
